Here are the 2015 Tervis tumblers for Harley-Davidson. The first wrap design showcases Harley’s signature V-Twin engine (V2). The art director wanted an overall chrome feel while integrating the transparent characteristics of the tumbler’s clear wrap. With the photo we decided to use, I had to create the “chrome feel” graphically as the image of the engine was darker than desired.

Engine_RotateThe second wrap design was more focused on the history of Harley-Davidson. This design was to have a retro feel using an actual motorcycle image. I was allowed to choose which motorcycle to use as my main image and I chose the 1958 Duo Glide.

In Harley’s library of assets they had a great pencil rendering which the company used for their 1958 brochure that was perfect for this project. It definitely added to the retro feel and kept the design authentic.

The above image is the approved design prior to it being warped to fit the final tumbler’s template. The 3 images below show how the graphic evolved throughout the conceptual rounds.
