Check out my RG3 Project for adidas. Yes, I (the biggest Redskins Fan) had a chance to design Robert Griffin III’s adidas brand logo! It was a great opportunity but in the end my solutions weren’t chosen. I was so bummed.

Being a huge Redskins fan I wanted to do a piece for the site. Here’s a wallpaper design (1920 x 1200) using my RG3 logo. Click image to download. This project was one of those ideas that just popped in my head. I had two ideas, one using the roman numeral number three and the other more of a monogram style logo.
Once I was happy with the RG3 logo, I wanted to create a 3-D look. This graphic below was created completely in Illustrator. In the final wallpaper design you can’t really see this graphic but with the snap to point option and playing with color blends it wasn’t too time consuming.
UPDATE 9/11/12: Some People Got Nerve!
Some dude in Canada took my RG3 logo, threw it on a shirt (added a photo) and was selling it on his eBay store! Man! People just don’t have any integrity. I emailed him but he never responded (I thought Canadians were friendly and harmless?). Anything to make a couple of loonies, eh? Here in the States you’re called a punk ass. Well, I ended up having to report him to eBay… which made for a very pleasant and productive afternoon. I really didn’t want to watermark my stuff… I guess on some things I will have too. Below is a screen grab of what he did to my work. I hid his seller info, no need to promote his store.

YO Man!! Great, Great Work! I first saw it as someones icon on The Washington Post Redskins comment page and the search was on! It is now my wallpaper here at work (it really annoys the Eagle fans here!) and I’m planning on getting a T-Shirt made with the logo on it (if it is ok..) Great work, great design and it really represents our dynamic, futuristic leader of our new Washington Redskins!

However, I DO NOT give you permission to make a tee with my logo… sorry. I appreciate you asking first. In fact, I just reported a guy on eBay who stole my work (the exact one you’re requesting) and was selling it on his store. I’ll post it up.
I plan to make some tees of this and others… I’ll keep you updated if you’re interested. (I’ll email you separately too).
